Emily and Mark are a precious couple and their Wedding Day was simply perfect. We were very honored to be asked to photograph their Big Day at the always beautiful location, The Barn At Twin Oaks Ranch.
When we arrived the bride and groom were getting ready to walk down the isle.
I asked Emily to share her story of how she and Mark met. It was beyond sweet! I read it to everyone in the office and we were all so in love with their "story" from beginning to end.....
"Mark and I met and became friends in the spring of
2012. We worked together organizing the FFA judging competitions hosted
by ATU Ag department. I organized the event and he was officiating the
placings.
That morning, he pulled up in his UofA truck and trailer with horses for
the event. He handed me a brush and we starting prepping the horses for
the competition. I was crazy about him as soon as he stepped out of the
truck. But I didn't think I would have a chance at ever going out with
Dr. Mark Russell, the equine specialist for UofA extension services."
"About 6 months later, a mutual friend of ours wanted
to set me up on this blind date with my "perfect cowboy." Come to find
out, it was Mark. At that time he had a girlfriend so we remained
friends, visiting about horses and such every now and then via Facebook.
Then in February of 2013, I took a chance and asked him out. I was very
nervous but thought "the worst scenario is he would say no." We ended up
joining some friends for the horse races in Hot Springs and then went
to a Wade Bowen concert that night. I was extremely nervous but it was
one of the best days of my life. From that day on we spent most of our
weekends together riding horses, traveling to a horse show that he was
judging, working on the remodeling of his house or spending time with
family and friends.
November 1, 2013 he proposed by asking me if I wanted to brush horses
with him for the rest of our lives. It was sweet and perfect! The
easiest decision I’ve ever made."
